Rocky Crate Endowed Chair Research
Donation: This beautiful bronze statue “When Sheep First Came to the Range” - “Cowboys and Sheep Don’t Mix” has been donated by Larry Schorno the executor of the Dr. Crate Endowment. Dr. Rocky Crate was a wonderful supporter and a large donor to RMWSF. His major concern was finding a cure for pneumonia in wild sheep and so he funded a chair at Washington State University. Rocky Crate’s only son Casey Crate was killed while serving our country in Iraq thus allowing for another large donation to the Foundation. Now as the research goes on it is only fitting that this beautiful bronze that Dr. Crate admired very much be placed on the auction at WSF to help continued to help fund the Rocky Crate Chair in his memory.
