Alberta’s Provincial Mammal, the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep is world reknown both for its size and the magnificent habitat that it occupies!
The successful bidder will be able to hunt one minimum 4/5 curl trophy sheep, in accordance with all provisions of the Wildlife Act and Wildlife Regulation. This special license is valid during open hunting seasons in all locations having an open season to hunt, including a special license trophy sheep draw season as identified in the 2013 Alberta Guide to Hunting Regulations.
In addition to the trophy sheep seasons listing in the 2013 Alberta Guide to Hunting Regulation, this license is also valid: November 1 to December 15, 2013 in wildlife management units 302; 303; 306; 308; 400-406; 412-428; 430-437, 439-44 from December 1 to December 15, 2013 in wildlife management units 408 and 438 from Nov 1 – December 15, 2013 in that portion WMU 408 that is east of Highway 40.
The use of these funds will be directed to the long-term benefit of wildlife, fish and habitat. Proudly managed by the Alberta Fish & Game Association… conserving Alberta’s Wildlife since 1908.
LICENSE CONDITIONS
The license holder is required to hire a licensed outfitter-guide and be accompanied by a designated guide or by a hunter host.
Before hunting, the license holder must notify the local Fish and Wildlife Division office of the license and tag number, intended hunting area within the WMU(s), and the dates when hunting will occur.
This license does not authorize hunting on Sundays in Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) where the Sunday hunting of big game is prohibited.(The WMU’s for this hunt are not affected by this condition)
This license does not authorize hunting in any location where hunting is prohibited (such as in a wildlife sanctuary, park, ecological reserve, or restricted area).
If a season is archery only, then only archery equipment must be used.

A 5% buyers premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives.
