Donation: This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to view the beautiful country of Newfoundland by helicopter and ground with acclaimed conservationist and WSF Life Member Shane Mahoney while viewing and learning about the stunning flora and fauna of Shane’s homeland! With a variety of events and festivals, unique attractions, breathtaking land and seascapes, there’s something for everyone. As rugged as the rocks of its shores and as friendly as the pubs of St. John’s, the Avalon Peninsula is where Newfoundland and Labrador and North America begin. It’s a place where you can photograph herds of caribou, seabird colonies, icebergs or whales. Enjoy a beachside lobster boil picnic in a remote seascape location, drink Scotch chilled with 10,000 year-old iceberg ice and time spent with Shane Mahoney, pursuing conservation ideas through discussions in absolutely wondrous locations. You’ll have the opportunity to ride in a helicopter and see the beautiful scenery along the spectacular coast.
Dates: This trip needs to be scheduled with Shane for 2016.
Amenities included: First class accommodations while in St. John’s and enjoy a stay in a high-end field camp in the beautiful wilderness. All helicopter and ground transportation are included.
Amenities not included: The lucky bidder is responsible for flights to and from St. John’s, Newfoundland.
