Forged by: Robert Eggerling
Donation: The dagger features a 6 3/4” blade of mosaic pattern welded Damascus with a center section containing shrapnel from a 155mm howitzer. The blanks are being forged by Pennsylvania artist, Robert Eggerling and then forwarded to Cody, Wyoming artisan-custom knife maker, Dennis Friedly then engraved by Bruce Shaw. The blade is shaped and grounded by hand as are the handle components. The stainless pommel will carry the Wounded Warrior Outdoors logo and finished with exotic Ziracote hard wood. The overall length of the piece is 11 1/2”.
