POCAPALIA TRUST FUND BRONZE
This sculptural representation of the Nevada State record desert bighorn sheep was created by world renowned taxidermist and artist, Mike Boyce, and fully donated to FNAWS in February of 1999. Originally proceeds were to be part of the Foundation’s “New Beginnings Capital Campaign” to establish a trust fund to guarantee the Foundation’s mission on behalf of the wild sheep of North America in perpetuity. An outstanding contributor, the late Dan Pocapalia originally purchased this work of art for $25,000 and then donated it back to the WSF to be used as a continual fund-raising tool. Each year it is re-auctioned with the successful bidder’s receiving a 1/4 size replica of the bronze. The generous bidders name is placed on the original bronze. We honor Dan Pocapalia for his many years of support and dedication to the Foundation. He will truly be missed by us all. To date the vision of Dan Pocapalia and his passion for wild sheep and wild places. Tonight…please help WSF and the late Dan Pocapalia bring his legacy to $500,000!
