Donation: Jan Martin McGuire is well known to the wildlife art world as well as the conservation world. She has been painting professionally for over 35 years. She is considered a naturalist and a conservationist - traveling all over the world to wild places to paint, draw and photograph - as she believes the EXPERIENCE is what gives authenticity to art. Her very detailed work is highly sought after. She is carried in the top wildlife and western art gallery in the world - TRAILSIDE GALLERIES in both Jackson, WY and in Scottsdale, AZ. She also has a gallery that carries her work in Tanzania. Her work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian; London Natural History museum; Dallas Museum of Natural History and the National Geographic Headquarters to name a few. She and her photographer husband James Gary Hines, are particularly interested in working on conservation projections helping Desert Bighorns.
