Description: Custom Dagger by Friedly - We at Heritage Collectables are proud to present this one-of-a-kind piece of artwork by renowned knife maker Dennis Friedly from Cody, WY. I commissioned Dennis to build this edition with Devin Thomas Damascus. He started by handcrafting the Damascus billet into the shape of a dagger blade. After hand grinding, the blade is fitted with a nickel silver guard, pre-ban ivory handle and nickel silver guard. Upon completion of a very classy and valuable addition for my collection, the dagger was featured in one of my showcases. The future of my dagger changed after I attended the Jan. 22, 2016 Wild Sheep Foundation banquet and heard a speech by Ron Raboud. His speech, especially the ending, “Please never take your freedom for granted, it comes at such a high price,” really inspired me. After giving it more thought, I decided that that quote needed to be scrimshawed on the dagger handle. I contacted scrimshaw artist Sandy Brady and asked her if she would scrim the quote on the ivory handle. Sandy readily agreed, so I present “THE RABOUD DAGGER BY FRIEDLY”
