A 5% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of this special permit/tag (unless prohibited by statute.) The proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has selected the Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) to auction a Golden Opportunity Deer Tag at the Reno, NV convention. This Golden Opportunity Deer Tag is valid statewide, from Saturday July 8, 2023, and extending through December 31, 2023. A tagholder may take any legal buck, using any legal method of take. Tagholders shall report to the Assistant Chief, Law Enforcement Division at the appropriate Department of Fish and Game Regional Headquarters prior to hunting as to the time and area they intend to hunt. This permit is subject to all existing conditions required for the take of deer in California. The permit is non-transferable and may be used only by the purchaser. Any resident or non-resident is eligible to bid on and receive this Special Permit. Previous purchasers are also eligible to bid on this Special Permit. NOTE: Nonprofit organizations auctioning or selling fund-raising license tags shall clearly indicate in all advertisements and to potential tag recipients that such tags are subject to all existing conditions required for the take of the species. Tags shall be nontransferable.
