Any pronghorn antelope, in any unit with an open pronghorn antelope season. Season August 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024.
A great opportunity at a record book pronghorn antelope. Long season dates to hunt the entire state in search of the trophy of your dreams. Nevada’s antelope population was estimated to be approximately 29,500 animals in 2023. Harvest data indicate that approximately 20 percent of bucks harvested have horn lengths more than 15 inches. In recent years, several bucks scoring between 80 and 85 Boone and Crockett points have been harvested, but there is always potential for larger bucks in the 85+ inch range, especially considering that Nevada has experienced improved habitat conditions resulting from recent above average precipitation. Hunting the high desert of the Great Basin for “speed goats” is an addicting adventure you won’t forget. Be ready to have fun!
